Supply Operator – Terminal/Depot Operations

About the role

The Supply Operator ensures safe and efficient operation of terminal and depot facilities by performing regular inspections, overseeing loading and off‑loading of fuel, and supporting supervisors in product receipt, storage, and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily walk‑around inspections of loading racks, pump houses, tank farms and related equipment, reporting hazards to supervisors.
• Prepare tanks, pipelines and fittings for loading/receiving operations and operate valves as directed.
• Oversee and execute loading and off‑loading of road tankers, ensuring proper sealing, handling of loading arms, and compliance with HSSE procedures.
• Report any product spillage or tanker defects and maintain accurate checklists and data sheets.
• Perform product draining, sampling, and physical dip from storage tanks and vehicles, ensuring sampling equipment cleanliness.
• Measure temperature and density of Jet‑A1 fuel at regular intervals and provide data for quality assurance.
• Assist supervisors with refractometer meter tests, Millipore tests, and reconciliation processes.
• Monitor additive and dye injection systems, coordinating with third‑party contractors as needed.

Required profile

• Experience in terminal or depot operations, particularly fuel handling.
• Familiarity with HSSE policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
• Ability to follow detailed operational procedures and maintain accurate records.
