System Administrator & IT Support Specialist

About the role

The University is seeking an experienced System Administrator and IT Support professional to manage its core IT infrastructure and provide day‑to‑day technical assistance. This role ensures the reliability of servers, networks, and campus applications while supporting staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the centralized antivirus server and ensure endpoint protection.
• Administer domain controllers, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Maintain MS SQL databases – perform backups, run queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Handle image and system‑state backups for third‑party applications.
• Oversee the College Management System covering registration, course distribution, attendance, and faculty management.
• Perform regular backups of all servers and databases.
• Manage CCTV cameras and DVR backup processes.
• Maintain IT inventory, record errors, and produce daily reports for the IT Manager.
• Provide desktop application support and troubleshoot hardware, printers, and network points.
• Work split shifts or flexible timings as required.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the IT department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Detail‑oriented with a proactive attitude.
