Tax Policy Consultant – International Tax & Transaction Services

About the role

EY is seeking a Tax Policy Consultant to join its Tax Policy team within the International Tax & Transaction Services practice in Dubai. The role involves advising governments and policy makers on tax policy development and supporting tax administrations in implementing effective tax and revenue strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance on tax policy development, referencing international best practices and regulatory trends.
• Support tax and revenue administrations in the effective implementation of tax policies.
• Assist governments with strategy and engagement on international tax initiatives such as OECD BEPS, Pillar One and Pillar Two.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (legal, finance, economics, public policy) to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare and present insights and policy recommendations in a clear, compelling manner.

Required profile

• Degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting.
• Minimum three years of experience as a tax professional.
• Experience in a Big 4 firm preferred, though candidates from governmental or international organisations are considered.
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax rules and tax authority practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and interact with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting technical memos and policy papers.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of OECD BEPS, Pillar One, Pillar Two and global minimum tax frameworks.
• Experience engaging with tax authorities, regulators and industry bodies.
• Expertise in tax law and policy analysis.
