Tax Specialist (Russian Speaking)

About the role

An international group of companies operating in the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Egypt is looking for a proactive, hands-on Tax Specialist who can work independently and manage tax matters across multiple jurisdictions. The role covers tax compliance and advisory, working with finance teams, auditors, tax authorities and external consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate tax and VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions
• Manage tax compliance for trading, logistics, service and healthcare businesses
• Review accounting transactions and financial records to ensure correct tax treatment
• Liaise with tax authorities on filings, registrations, rulings and consultations
• Support financial and tax audits, including preparing documentation and responses
• Coordinate and manage external tax advisors on complex matters
• Support e-invoicing requirements and related tax technology initiatives
• Monitor tax legislation and its impact on the business
• Provide practical tax guidance to finance and operational teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Economics or a related field
• Russian language is mandatory; professional English is required
• 3-7 years of relevant experience in taxation, accounting or finance
• Experience as a Tax Specialist, Tax Consultant, Senior Accountant, Chief Accountant or similar
• Mandatory tax experience in the UAE and in jurisdictions with complex tax systems such as Russia, Europe and CIS countries
• Experience in a tax advisory or audit firm (Big Four) is an advantage
