Teacher - English (Noya British School, Abu Dhabi)

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting an English teacher for Noya British School in Abu Dhabi, which sits on Yas Island and is the newest flagship school of the Aldar Schools brand. The post starts in Academic Year 27/28 and suits someone who understands the values of the region and wants to join a successful school group.

Key responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with all members of the school community and work flexibly with colleagues.
• Plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements, liaise with colleagues and work with curriculum support staff where applicable.
• Teach and learn: organise classroom provision and resources, create displays, plan sessions for the whole ability range and motivate pupils.
• Assess and record student progress using Target Tracker, use assessment data to inform planning and intervention, and give feedback to parents at conferences and meetings.
• Manage classes effectively, following the school's behaviour policy and inspiring, motivating and challenging pupils.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with PGCE or another teacher qualification.
• Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience in GCSE/A Levels.
• Experience teaching students whose English is not their first language.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check; offers are subject to satisfactory references and police clearance.
