Teaching Assistant for Early Years Nursery

About the role

The Emirates British Nursery is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of its Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. You will work closely with lead teachers to ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0‑5 years.

Key responsibilities

• Provide attentive care and supervision to promote children’s physical, emotional, and educational development.
• Assist the teacher in preparing and adapting activities to meet each child’s individual needs.
• Support basic care routines such as toileting, mealtimes, and bottle‑feeding for babies.
• Participate in open weekends, publicity events, and organized outings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of playrooms and learning materials.
• Welcome and mentor new staff members, acting as a positive role model.
• Supervise meals, prepare baby bottles when required, and carry out laundry duties as needed.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and adhere to all Nursery policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum High School Certificate or a certified vocational qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education (Level II).
• Previous experience in an early years or nursery setting is preferred; experience from the candidate’s home country may be considered.
• Strong literacy and numeracy abilities.
• Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is an advantage.
