Team Leader - Workshop Commercial Vehicle

About the role

United Diesel, the authorized distributor of Renault Trucks, Tata Motor and other commercial vehicle brands in Sharjah, is seeking a Workshop Team Leader to manage the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of commercial trucks and buses. The role combines technical expertise with leadership to ensure safety, quality and timely service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain commercial vehicles, covering mechanical, electrical and air‑conditioning systems.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of technicians, enforcing safety, efficiency and quality standards.
• Handle complex technical issues using advanced diagnostic tools, preferably Volvo/Renault systems.
• Allocate jobs, prioritize tasks and monitor progress to meet service deadlines.
• Conduct final inspections to ensure work complies with manufacturer and company standards.
• Communicate professionally with clients and service providers regarding technical issues and solutions.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records in line with warranty and company policies.
• Identify process gaps, propose improvements and drive operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with Volvo, Renault or similar heavy‑duty trucks.
• Proven experience in leading a workshop team.
• Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle electrical, engine and HVAC systems.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high quality standards.
