Technical Buyer - MRO Sourcing

About the role

EDGE Technologies is hiring a Technical Buyer for its EO MRO business in Abu Dhabi. The role manages sourcing and procurement for new product introduction, production and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) activities, ensuring spare parts, tools and equipment are available at the right quality, cost and lead time to support operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of spare parts, tools and equipment for production and MRO activities.
• Plan, execute, monitor and close sourcing across multiple new product introduction (NPI) projects.
• Source and evaluate suppliers from the authorised supplier list and prospective engineering and operations vendors, assessing capability, quality, cost and delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms, including long-term agreements with OEMs and key suppliers.
• Align purchasing schedules with production and maintenance plans to avoid shortages and delays.
• Maintain accurate procurement, order and inventory records in SAP.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations and Production teams to turn technical requirements into sourcing actions.
• Resolve supply issues, find alternative sources and keep supply continuous.
• Handle import and export documentation in line with international trade requirements.
• Support improvements to procurement processes, supplier performance and product quality while upholding high ethical standards.

Required profile

• 7 to 10 years of experience in procurement, supplier sourcing and price and lead-time negotiation.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business or a related field preferred; Supply Chain Management qualification preferred.
• English proficiency required.
