Technical Procurement Officer – Sharjah

About the role

The Technical Procurement Officer will manage the procurement of spare parts, components, tools and equipment required for Air Arabia's airline fleet and third‑party aircraft. The role ensures that all purchases comply with airline standards, airworthiness regulations and are delivered on time and cost‑effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main interface between internal stakeholders and external suppliers to secure timely delivery of technical items.
• Develop procurement strategies, operating procedures and supplier KPIs to achieve best quality and price.
• Lead negotiations on commercial terms, ensuring compliance with airline procedures and OEM specifications.
• Evaluate new vendors, coordinate pre‑qualification with Quality Assurance and Finance, and monitor existing supplier performance.
• Coordinate credit references, account set‑up and resolve pricing or payment issues with Finance.
• Collaborate with Stores Inspector to address inventory discrepancies, damages or mismatches.
• Support competitive bid exercises and manage tender submissions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical procurement, preferably within aviation or related industries.
• Strong understanding of airworthiness regulations, OEM specifications and airline procurement standards.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams such as Quality Assurance, Finance and Stores.
