Technical Project Manager – IoT & Niagara BMS

About the role

The Technical Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IoT and Niagara‑based Building Management System (BMS) projects. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage integrations between IoT devices and Niagara platforms, and ensure projects meet client requirements, quality standards, budget, and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project plans, timelines, budgets and allocate resources.
• Manage integration of IoT platforms, devices and Niagara Framework into existing infrastructure.
• Oversee installation, programming and commissioning of Niagara‑based BMS and IoT systems.
• Coordinate design, engineering and field teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Conduct system testing and verify compliance with functional and performance specifications.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams and user guides.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate client training, hand‑over and ensure post‑project support.
• Track project costs, manage procurement and logistics for equipment and software.
• Maintain safety, regulatory and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• 5+ years of project management experience, including at least 2 years hands‑on with IoT and Niagara‑based BMS projects.
• Strong understanding of Niagara Framework (Niagara 4 preferred) and building automation protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and LON.
• Knowledge of IoT architectures, communication protocols (MQTT, REST APIs) and cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT).
• Familiarity with HVAC control, lighting systems and energy‑management solutions.
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Trello or equivalent) and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
