Transactional Buyer

About the role

The Transactional Buyer supports the procurement function by executing end‑to‑end sourcing activities for materials and services. Working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, the role ensures timely purchase order creation, monitors performance, and contributes to category management initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement for assigned purchase requisitions, from requirement analysis to PO issuance.
• Manage RFQs/RFPs, obtain quotations, perform commercial evaluations and recommend suppliers based on quality, cost and delivery.
• Maintain a short PR‑to‑PO cycle, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance against agreed timelines.
• Update ERP‑SAP and the sourcing platform with accurate procurement data and generate regular reports on PR aging, PO cycle time and supplier risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to clarify technical and commercial requirements and resolve procurement issues.
• Support sourcing strategy development through market intelligence, cost driver analysis and risk assessment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and ethical procurement policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in a transactional sourcing environment.
• Degree in Business or Engineering from a recognized university.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Strong judgment, independent decision‑making and ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
