Underground Stations Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead PMC construction supervision for metro stations, both overground and underground. The role focuses on power distribution, reliability and life‑safety compliance of electrical systems supporting HVAC, lifts, escalators, fire alarm, BMS/SCADA, AFC, CCTV and telecom equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, distribution boards, cabling, earthing and UPS systems, ensuring redundancy and protective coordination.
• Review and validate short‑circuit, load‑flow and selectivity studies; witness FAT/SAT and manage site acceptance testing.
• Enforce NFPA 130, NFPA 70 and NEC requirements for fire‑resistive cabling, lightning protection and emergency power.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with BMS/SCADA, fire alarm, AFC, PSD, security, telecom and mechanical loads.
• Monitor ITP/WIRs, maintain inspection records, manage punch lists/NCRs and support O&M documentation for handover.
• Provide measurement inputs, certify bills and report progress under FIDIC/PMC contract administration.
• Apply electrical safety protocols, including lock‑out/tag‑out, arc‑flash boundaries and confined‑space procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in metro rail station construction, design review and site supervision.
• Proven knowledge of design‑build and FIDIC contract environments.
• Experience with power distribution, MV/LV systems and life‑safety standards.
