Vice President, Technology Transformation Office

About the role

The Vice President of the Technology Transformation Office will govern Mashreq's technology change portfolio across one or more groups, acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership. This role ensures alignment with the bank's strategic goals and delivers value through effective portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and govern the technology change portfolio, providing a decision‑oriented view from demand through benefits realization.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Group Heads, identifying risks, dependencies and value leakage, and escalating concerns through governance forums.
• Provide project quality assurance, coach project managers, and directly manage selected projects when required.
• Coordinate initiation, planning, estimation and business case development for transformation initiatives.
• Maintain a single source of truth for portfolio data, ensuring transparency and accurate reporting.
• Define and implement communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed of progress and outcomes.
• Optimize resource allocation, including talent, technology and finances, to achieve delivery excellence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading large‑scale technology transformation portfolios within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong advisory skills with the ability to influence senior executives and drive resolution of complex issues.
• Deep understanding of portfolio governance, investment planning and benefits realization methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
