VMware Administrator – Virtualization & VDI Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a VMware Administrator to design, implement and manage our enterprise virtualization and VDI environments. The role ensures high availability, performance and security of virtual infrastructure while delivering an optimal end‑user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and administer VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter Server and related components.
• Provision, allocate resources and manage the lifecycle of virtual machines and templates.
• Monitor and optimise performance of VMs, clusters, storage and networking.
• Apply patches, upgrades and security hardening across the VMware stack.
• Deploy and support VMware Horizon (or other VDI solutions), including user profile and policy management.
• Plan and implement disaster‑recovery, backup and business‑continuity strategies for the VDI environment.
• Integrate VMware with SAN/NAS storage arrays and network infrastructure, including vSwitches and distributed switches.
• Support hybrid‑cloud integration with VMware Cloud on Azure and Azure Migrate.
• Document configurations, SOPs and maintain compliance with IT governance and cybersecurity policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 10 + years of experience in VMware virtualization and VDI environments.
• Proven expertise with vSphere, Horizon and VDI architecture.
• Strong background in disaster‑recovery planning and hybrid‑cloud deployments.
