VP & Senior Audit Manager, Enterprise Risk Management

About the role

The VP & Senior Audit Manager, Enterprise Risk Management will lead and participate in audits covering Risk and Global Markets activities across the FAB Group. The role provides assurance to senior management by identifying weaknesses, reporting significant findings, and agreeing on remediation action plans.

Key responsibilities

• Lead risk‑based audits of Risk Management units including Operational, Fraud, Credit, Market, Capital Management and International locations.
• Establish and maintain the audit universe for the ERM area and provide inputs for the Board Audit Committee and annual risk‑based audit plan.
• Evaluate controls to safeguard the bank’s assets in line with internal audit guidance and Group Fraud Risk Management Policy.
• Act as the day‑to‑day contact for ERM teams, ensuring governance, risk management and controls are effective.
• Provide guidance, on‑the‑job training and knowledge sharing for junior colleagues.
• Monitor financial performance of audited areas against budgets and report variances.
• Execute audits in accordance with GIA policies, guidance notes, procedures and practice notes.
• Review ERM activities across all jurisdictions to maintain an up‑to‑date audit universe.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of business, product dynamics, market and operational risk management.
• Deep understanding of CAR, ICAAP processes and the regulatory environment in the UAE and other relevant jurisdictions.
• Proven experience in internal audit within a banking or financial services environment.
• Ability to identify weaknesses, advise senior management on risk direction and develop effective remediation plans.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GIA audit tools.
• Knowledge of CAR and ICAAP frameworks.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for banks.
• Expertise in risk management frameworks and audit methodology.
• Financial performance monitoring and analysis.
