VP Supply Chain (Emirati National Only)

About the role

A leading engineering firm, recruited through Black Pearl Consult, is looking for a Vice President of Supply Chain based in Dubai. The role owns and optimises end-to-end procurement and contracting processes, working closely with Finance and senior leadership to align supply chain strategy with financial objectives, Emiratization goals and long-term sustainability plans.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies supporting financial targets, business objectives and Emiratization initiatives
• Partner with executive leadership on growth, stability and sustainability projects
• Build and maintain strategic supplier, vendor and partner relationships for reliable, cost-effective sourcing
• Act as the central liaison between Supply Chain and other business units
• Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing supply chain team, fostering continuous improvement
• Identify and mitigate risks such as disruptions, regulatory compliance and financial impacts
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the supply chain function
• Prepare and present performance reports, financial analyses and strategic recommendations to the executive team
• Ensure training and development programmes cover the technical and behavioural skills needed
• Embed corporate excellence, sustainability and institutional standards into all supply chain activities
• Guide annual operational planning in line with the organisation's strategic roadmap

Required profile

• Emirati national only
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline (Master's preferred)
• 12+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record in contracts and procurement within a large, complex organisation (utilities, energy or engineering preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to lead change, manage risk and deliver innovative supply-chain solutions

Required skills

• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and P&L oversight
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills
