Wellness Attendant - Spa & Fitness

About the role

Atlantis The Royal, an ultra-luxury resort on the Palm Island, is looking for a Wellness Attendant. The role welcomes guests and keeps the Spa & Wellness facilities (gym, spa, hammam, salon, changing rooms, pools and reception areas) clean, hygienic and well-stocked during operating hours, in line with 5-star international standards. It also involves coordinating guest requests between guests, the spa reception and service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of changing rooms, toilets, showers, relaxation areas, hammam, heat facilities, indoor and outdoor public spaces and some back-of-house areas.
• Set up and prepare all spa areas before and after opening hours, and keep them tidy and sanitary.
• Arrange spa amenities, linen, food and beverage, reading material and displays attractively.
• Assist therapists with treatment room turnover and keep treatment rooms neat and sanitary.
• Monitor guests' progress through the facility, direct them to the right waiting areas and handle guest requests.
• In the fitness centre, keep equipment clean and functional, stock lockers with clean linen, remove soiled linen and rubbish, and offer towels, refreshments and reading material.
• Help motivate guests in the fitness centre and deliver 5-star service.
• Complete daily cleaning lists, maintain inventory of supplies and disposables, and attend daily briefings and scheduled meetings.
• Report unusual guest behaviour to the manager and attend required training.

Required profile

• Confident communicator who understands the sensitive nature of a spa environment.
• Good spoken English; other languages highly regarded.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willing to work autonomously and in a team, with flexible working hours.
• Previous experience in a similar facility, public area cleaning, housekeeping or guest-contact roles is highly regarded.
