Whole School PE Teacher (Male) - August 2027

About the role

The Arbor School in Dubai is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Whole School PE Teacher (male) to deliver high-quality Physical Education across Primary and Secondary School and to help build a vibrant, inclusive sporting culture. The teacher works closely with the Head of PE and Sport on curriculum planning, student progress and the wider sporting programme, and plays an active part in coaching school sports teams and organising fixtures, tournaments and events. The school's ethos is rooted in its ecological and sustainability vision.

Key responsibilities

• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all students in line with the school's Safeguarding Framework, policies and Code of Conduct.
• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and appropriately challenging PE lessons across Primary and Secondary School, setting high expectations for participation, behaviour, progress and achievement.
• Design and implement schemes of work that support progression across ages, abilities and stages of development, using effective teaching, assessment and monitoring strategies.
• Work with the Head of PE and Sport on curriculum materials, teaching approaches, assessment strategies and sporting programmes.
• Coach school sports teams, organise fixtures, tournaments, festivals and inter-school competitions, and support sports days, extracurricular activities and wider sporting events.
• Coordinate PE equipment, facilities and resources, and promote opportunities for students of all abilities to take part in sport.
• Develop enrichment opportunities for physical activity beyond the curriculum.
• Promote positive behaviour, mutual respect and self-discipline, and support students' physical, emotional and social development through sport.
• Collaborate with pastoral and inclusion teams, communicate with parents about progress and achievement, and undertake student supervision and school duties.
• Incorporate outdoor learning, environmental awareness and responsible use of resources into PE lessons, and support cross-curricular, project-based learning.

• Experienced and dedicated Physical Education teacher with a genuine passion for PE, student wellbeing and sporting excellence.
• Ability to engage students of all ages and abilities, promote participation and teamwork, and inspire students to reach their potential.
• Collaborative, enthusiastic practitioner with high expectations and a strong commitment to student wellbeing.
• Appreciation of the school's ecological and sustainability ethos.
