Wireline Field Engineer – Logging Services

About the role

The Wireline Field Engineer at ADNOC Drilling is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high‑quality wireline logging services across onshore and offshore rigs in the UAE. The role leads wellsite operations, mentors junior staff, and ensures compliance with ADNOC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute open‑hole and cased‑hole wireline operations for assigned rigs and fields.
• Lead the crew as the on‑site engineer, coordinating with rig crews and customer representatives.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and operators in tool handling and service delivery.
• Plan, troubleshoot, and document wireline jobs, including pre‑ and post‑job reporting.
• Advise clients on logging results, perform quality control, and support well‑site decision making.
• Manage radioactive sources and explosives in line with HSE and regulatory protocols.
• Utilise software tools such as ECLIPS, Warrior, and Cerberus Tension Modelling for job planning.
• Maintain accurate records, conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
• Lead incident reporting, HSE audits, and investigations related to wireline activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified) and proven experience in wireline operations in Abu Dhabi.
• Hands‑on experience with Baker Hughes wireline equipment and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead wellsite crews and mentor junior staff.
• Strong knowledge of HSEMS requirements, radioactive source handling, and explosives safety.
