Women's Universe Merchandising Manager – Luxury Retail

About the role

The Women's Universe Merchandising Manager will support the Merchandising Director in shaping and executing merchandising strategies that drive sales, optimise inventory and enhance store performance across the United Arab Emirates. This hands‑on role balances operational involvement with high‑level decision‑making across multiple product categories, acting as the key liaison between regional retail teams and Paris headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Build seasonal assortments for leather goods, ready‑to‑wear, shoes, accessories, fragrance and beauty, aligning commercial goals with brand image and store nuances.
• Represent the Middle East market at Paris showrooms and buying sessions, advocating regional needs.
• Analyse weekly sales, sell‑through and stock data to identify risks and opportunities, initiating corrective actions to limit depreciation.
• Own allocation strategy, ensuring the right product reaches the right store at the right time.
• Partner with retail leadership, visual merchandising, supply chain, marketing and communication to align launches, events and the commercial calendar.
• Lead, coach and develop direct reports, fostering a high‑performing, collaborative team culture.
• Deliver product and category training to store teams, creating compelling product storytelling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 6‑7 years progressive merchandising experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within luxury retail.
• Demonstrated experience in the Middle Eastern market and strong understanding of luxury consumer dynamics.
• Proven track record of developing and executing merchandising strategies that drive sales and profitability.
• Excellent analytical ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Fluent English; French or Arabic an advantage.
