2nd W/K Electrical Engineer – Marine Dredging

About the role

The Self‑Propelled Cutter Suction Dredger needs a dedicated 2nd W/K Electrical Engineer to ensure the vessel’s electrical systems remain reliable and production‑ready. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and the Electrical Superintendent to execute maintenance, repairs, and installations on‑board.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance, fabrication, installation, and repair of all electrical equipment on the dredging fleet.
• Provide daily reports on work performed, equipment performance, and any operational issues to the Chief Engineer.
• Assist the Electrical Superintendent with specific electrical activities and spare‑part recommendations.
• Monitor and enforce HSE requirements related to electrical work on the vessel.
• Identify electrical hazards, implement control measures, and escalate critical issues to minimise downtime.
• Continuously update knowledge of marine electrical systems and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent ETO Certificate.
• 5–8 years of experience in marine or heavy‑industrial electrical engineering.
• Proven ability to work in a vessel environment and follow strict safety and operational procedures.
