Account Manager – Social Media

About the role

Burson is seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead its Social Media team for government sector clients in Abu Dhabi. You will act as the primary liaison for high‑profile government accounts, shaping and executing comprehensive social media strategies that align with client objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as day‑to‑day contact for assigned government clients, building strong relationships alongside senior leadership.
• Develop and implement tailored social media strategies, owning channel plans, content calendars, and publishing workflows.
• Oversee content production, drafting posts, briefs, and captions while ensuring compliance with government policies and brand guidelines.
• Monitor platforms, manage community interactions, moderation, social listening, and escalation processes.
• Track performance, create dashboards and insights, and recommend optimizations to improve reach, engagement, and sentiment.
• Support new‑business efforts by contributing research, case studies, proposals, and RFP inputs.

Required profile

• Proven track record in social media strategy and execution, preferably with government or public‑sector clients.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to work closely with senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading a small team and managing end‑to‑end social media projects.
