Accountant – Group Accounting & Tax Specialist

About the role

Freedx, a fast‑growing cryptocurrency exchange, is seeking an experienced accountant to manage group accounting, tax compliance, and reporting across its UAE, El Salvador and Panama entities. The role requires a hands‑on professional who can oversee outsourced firms and ensure accurate financial statements in line with IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records for all group companies, especially in the UAE.
• Oversee outsourced accounting firms in El Salvador and Panama.
• Provide full support for UAE tax accounting, including corporate tax, VAT and related obligations.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements according to IFRS standards.
• Consolidate accounting data for the entire group.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and manage e‑invoicing systems in the UAE and El Salvador.
• Liaise with regulators, the Federal Tax Authority, auditors and external consultants.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE.
• Proven track record of passing audits and tax inspections.
• Strong ability to work within an international structure and manage external contractors.
• Not suitable for entry‑level candidates; must handle a complex scope independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with modern accounting software such as Xero and Request Finance.
• Experience with e‑invoicing platforms used in the UAE and El Salvador.
• Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
