Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to lead the accounting shared service centre for JD.com in Dubai. The role involves developing and enforcing accounting policies, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Organise development and enhancement of group accounting policies, systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with laws and standards.
• Oversee implementation of policies, analyse and resolve issues to maintain accurate accounting information.
• Collaborate with other departments to communicate and apply accounting policies.
• Monitor quality of accounting processes for various Business Groups and the shared service centre.
• Consolidate operational data, develop metrics and create dashboards.
• Standardise processes, maintain policy libraries, SOPs and related tools.
• Act as Project Manager for process‑improvement, risk‑management and user‑experience projects.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the head of the centre.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification.
• Experience in a financial shared service centre or BPO environment.
• Strong project‑management experience and ability to coordinate cross‑functional resources.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.
