Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The role involves ensuring accurate financial records, supporting management decisions, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze expenses and revenues, recommending corrective actions to uphold transparency and accuracy.
• Develop, improve, and review accounting procedures in line with GAAP.
• Prepare and forecast financial reports to provide qualitative and quantitative information for strategic decisions.
• Implement checks and balances to streamline transaction processing and reduce processing times.
• Collect, analyze, and report the operating budget, delivering financial strategies and forecasts.
• Supervise additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations.
• Review and resolve invoice inconsistencies, maintain secure filing of vouchers and supporting documents.
• Process tax returns and refunds.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of combined accounting and finance experience, including accounts receivable/payable, budgeting, reporting & analysis, and general accounting principles.
• Familiarity with relevant accounting software.
