Accountant – UAE Trading & Distribution

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to oversee the day‑to‑day accounting operations of our trading and distribution business in Dubai. The role offers the opportunity to own the full accounting function, from month‑end closing to VAT compliance, within a fast‑growing company.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare trial balances, profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
• Execute monthly and annual financial closing within set timelines.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow, including petty cash.
• Prepare and file VAT returns in line with FTA requirements.
• Verify purchase orders (LPOs) before issuance and generate commercial invoices.
• Coordinate customer collections, monitor receivables and ensure collection efficiency.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team on inventory reconciliation and stock adjustments.
• Support management reporting and profitability analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations.
• Experience in a trading, distribution or inventory‑focused environment is preferred.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and accountability.

• TallyPrime accounting software.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
