Accounting & Billing Manager

About the role

As the Accounting & Billing Manager at Combi Lift in Abu Dhabi, you will lead financial operations for complex project logistics, ensuring accurate reporting, compliant invoicing, and strong internal controls. Your work will directly support profitability and operational efficiency across high‑profile EPC and heavy‑lift projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with local regulations and IFRS.
• Manage milestone‑based billing schedules, generate compliant invoices and monitor outstanding payments.
• Track project costs and margins, flagging overruns or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with project managers, operations and procurement to validate financial data.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, customs rules and contractual billing requirements.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to support audit readiness and prevent fraud.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration; CPA, CMA or ACCA preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role within logistics, freight forwarding or EPC/project cargo.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT and international trade finance.
• Proven ability to work with multi‑currency, milestone‑based billing.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French or Arabic a plus.

Required skills

• ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle or CargoWise.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
