Assistant Chief Engineer

About the role

The Assistant Chief Engineer supports the Director of Engineering in maintaining the hotel's facilities, ensuring safe operation of all mechanical equipment and overseeing daily maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for maintenance issues within the hotel.
• Perform daily checks around the hotel.
• Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel.
• Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external customers.
• Maintain all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure safety and take action on unsafe situations.
• Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs.
• Coordinate renovation bidding, define cost and scope, and oversee contractors to ensure quality and cost‑effectiveness.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities assigned by the Director of Engineering for health and safety.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Ability to handle pressure.
