Assistant Chief Steward

About the role

The Assistant Chief Steward supports the Chief Steward in managing all stewarding operations at Anantara Downtown Dubai. This position ensures that equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware are well‑maintained and that the stewarding team provides a clean, safe environment for the Food & Beverage department.

Key responsibilities

• Control inventory of all kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
• Lead, train and motivate the stewarding team on chemical handling, dish‑washing machine operation and kitchen cleaning.
• Oversee recycling, garbage disposal and daily HACCP practices to meet government and corporate standards.
• Produce inventory counts, loss and breakage reports using computer systems.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and corporate F&B standards.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in stewarding operations, preferably at a similar or Assistant Chief Steward level.
• Passion for leadership, teamwork and hospitality excellence.
• HACCP certification and solid knowledge of hygiene and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Computer skills for inventory management and reporting.
• HACCP certification.
