Assistant Finance Manager

About the role

The global consulting firm is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join its Financial Reporting Advisory Services (FRAS) team in Dubai. The role involves project management, client liaison and advisory work on complex accounting and financial reporting matters across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage small to medium‑size projects and engagements, ensuring efficient and profitable delivery.
• Liaise directly with clients to address complex accounting challenges and provide tailored solutions.
• Apply IFRS accounting standards, conduct research on accounting framework transitions, GAAP conversions and changes in standards.
• Review work for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver training to improve financial reporting quality.
• Monitor team progress against project plans and adjust resources as needed.
• Mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge and building technical competencies.
• Leverage technology to enhance service delivery and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP conversions and complex accounting matters.
• Experience managing client relationships and addressing financial reporting challenges.
• Ability to review work for accuracy and ensure compliance.
• Background in financial process review and internal controls.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client‑facing work.
• Proven ability to coach and develop junior team members.
