Assistant Manager Aquarium Specialist

About the role

The Assistant Manager Aquarium Specialist ensures healthy, sanitary living conditions and proper nutrition for all marine and freshwater animals at Atlantis Resorts. This role oversees feeding schedules, daily tank maintenance, water analysis, and animal observations while leading educational and conservation experiences for guests and the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor animal behavior daily and report any abnormalities to management.
• Manage feeding programmes and maintain dietary, disease‑recognition, and treatment protocols.
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on aquarium exhibits, dive equipment, and water‑treatment systems.
• Perform water quality testing and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Lead guest and community educational sessions on marine conservation.
• Compile and interpret data from animal records and departmental logbooks.
