Assistant Marketing Manager

About the role

The Assistant Marketing Manager will support the Director of Sales & Marketing in developing and executing the hotel’s marketing and communications strategy. This position works closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure brand consistency and effective promotion across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Sofitel brand guidelines and ensure their application across all visual assets.
• Oversee the quality and creativity of visual materials, ensuring compliance with brand standards.
• Coordinate sponsorships for festive, cultural and seasonal events under the department head’s supervision.
• Assist in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies.
• Liaise with designers, advertising and design agencies to produce collateral, stationery, ads and graphics.
• Track competitor marketing activities in the UAE market and maintain an organized filing system.
• Monitor trends and competitor actions in Food & Beverage, Spa, Weddings, Meetings & Events.
• Manage relationships with third‑party promotion partners, updating discount agreements and communicating changes.
• Support the department head in updating press kits, releases and creative communications.
• Develop and maintain contacts with local and international media, organizing media and blogger events.
• Update the hotel’s database of clients, media contacts and VIPs to ensure targeted publicity.

Required profile

• Familiarity with Sofitel brand guidelines and hospitality marketing standards.
• Experience coordinating marketing collateral with external agencies.
• Ability to track and analyse competitor activities and market trends.
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining databases and filing systems.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with media, partners and internal teams.
