Assistant Operator (Cementing)

About the role

The Assistant Operator (Cementing) supports the execution of cementing operations on oilfield service sites. Working under the supervision of the Cementing Operator and Supervisor, the role ensures safe, efficient, and quality delivery of cementing services to maintain well integrity and meet ADNOC and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, rig‑up, and rig‑down of cementing equipment, units, and accessories at the well site.
• Support primary cementing, squeeze cementing, plug setting, and remedial cementing operations.
• Mix, pump, and displace cement slurry while monitoring pressures, rates, and volumes as instructed.
• Handle bulk cement, additives, mixing systems, lines, manifolds, and pumping equipment, ensuring correct connections and safe operation.
• Perform pre‑job checks, equipment inspections, function tests, and routine maintenance of cementing units.
• Troubleshoot operational issues during jobs and report abnormalities to the supervisor.
• Maintain proper handling, storage, and housekeeping of chemicals, additives, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with rig crew, drilling team, and other service lines for smooth execution.
• Comply with UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling, and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.

Required profile

• Secondary School Certificate (or equivalent) or higher.
• Minimum 1 year of practical mechanical exposure in a similar position.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer awareness, especially Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and write simple English.
