Assistant Relationship Manager – Private Banking

About the role

Provide relationship‑management support for private banking clients, handling low‑value accounts and acting as the first point of contact for inquiries and service‑related activities across all channels. Assist Relationship Managers (RMs) with KYC compliance, documentation updates, and routine banking services.

Key responsibilities

• Support RMs by managing low‑value client relationships, freeing up their time for higher‑value activities.
• Conduct KYC checks, ensure timely client documentation updates, and liaise with group compliance on AML, KYC, DTRs, and RFIs.
• Handle banking service requests such as account opening, maintenance, complaints, cheque books, investments, and insurance.
• Generate account statements and portfolio analyses to assist customers in reviewing their financial health.
• Perform pre‑processing checks to guarantee accurate transaction execution and maintain daily trackers in line with SOPs and SLA standards.
• Maintain error‑free processing to prevent financial losses and reduce transaction rejects and referrals.
• Update exception reports, regularize expired client documents, and ensure daily tracker accuracy.
• Record all customer interactions in the CRM system, including complaints, service requests, and campaign calls.

Required profile

• Graduate with experience in banking or a service‑oriented environment and a pleasant personality.
• Strong negotiation, decision‑making, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Familiarity with local regulations and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to manage difficult situations effectively.
