About the role
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the restaurant team at Tong Thai, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction. This role combines operational oversight with staff leadership in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, inventory, and security of the restaurant.
- Monitor guest areas for seating availability, safety, and overall guest experience.
- Inspect staff grooming, attire, and adherence to uniform standards.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and coaching of team members.
- Maintain storage organization using FIFO, conduct regular inventories, and requisition supplies.
- Complete work orders for maintenance and ensure compliance with safety policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant restaurant or hospitality experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
