Assistant Security Manager

About the role

The Assistant Security Manager will support the Security Manager in overseeing all security operations at Novotel Sharjah Expo Centre, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise security officers, enforce security policies and ensure adherence to local regulations.
• Train officers on surveillance equipment, report writing, record keeping, patrol procedures and first‑aid protocols.
• Oversee daily patrols, identify potential risks and implement proactive safety measures.
• Develop and deliver fire‑fighting and evacuation training in line with civil‑defence requirements.
• Coordinate with civil defence, police and other government entities for fire drills and security incidents.
• Manage on‑site emergency responses, including fires, medical incidents and safety hazards.
• Investigate, review and follow up on all incidents, loss and accident reports.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of organizational data and personnel information.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel security, preferably.
• Valid SIRA Security Manager License.
• CPR, First Aid and Basic Fire‑Fighting certifications.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Understanding of hotel operations and customer‑focus mindset.
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic hospitality environment.
