Associate Director, Risk and Performance

About the role

Our client is a leading multi‑family office in Dubai that manages significant global investments for GCC‑based families. The Associate Director, Risk and Performance will ensure accurate portfolio reporting, enhance risk analytics, and support strategic decision‑making across both private and public markets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate portfolio performance by managing reporting, analysis, and stakeholder communication.
• Improve risk and return reports and develop new risk metrics and methodologies.
• Work with operations to resolve performance‑impacting issues such as pricing, derivatives, corporate actions, transfers, and cash flows.
• Support design and implementation of policies and processes to reduce operational risk.
• Conduct risk reporting and analysis, collaborating with IT to enhance performance systems.
• Assist with fund due diligence by assessing performance, risk, and peer comparisons.
• Measure and monitor portfolio risk exposures and define budget allocations for each asset class.

Required profile

• Background in statistics or finance, preferably with CFA or CPA qualifications.
• Strong financial reporting and analysis capabilities across performance and risk.
• Good understanding of public and private markets.
• Detail‑oriented, quick learner with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex information clearly.
