Azure Data Engineer

About the role

The Azure Data Engineer will design, implement and manage end‑to‑end data solutions on Microsoft Azure to support business intelligence and AI initiatives. This role ensures data accuracy, security and delivers actionable insights through Power BI dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage Azure SQL databases, Azure Data Lake Storage and related Azure/Fabric services.
• Create, monitor and optimise ETL workflows to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Develop SQL queries and Python scripts for data processing, automation and advanced analytics.
• Leverage Azure Databricks, Apache Spark and Hadoop for big‑data processing and machine‑learning pipelines.
• Build and maintain enterprise data warehouses that feed reporting and visualisation tools.
• Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and document data architectures.
• Design and manage data solutions that enable AI use‑cases across the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing and BI development.
• Proven expertise with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Power BI.
• Strong background in SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation.
