Business Continuity Manager

About the role

Emirates Flight Catering is seeking an experienced Business Continuity Manager to lead the implementation and maintenance of its Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) in line with ISO 22301, NCEMA 7000 and aviation industry requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and upkeep of the BCMS, ensuring documentation and compliance are current.
• Develop and update BCM policy, procedures and governance documents to meet regulatory and aviation standards.
• Coordinate Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Threat Risk Assessment (TRA) activities, defining critical activities, risks and Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs).
• Maintain and periodically review Business Continuity Plans, Crisis Management Plans and site response plans, aligning with IT disaster recovery.
• Provide support to the Crisis Management Team by keeping contact lists, communication protocols and response tools ready.
• Plan and execute BCM exercises (tabletop, simulations, drills) and track observations, gaps and corrective actions.
• Deliver BCM and Crisis Management awareness and training sessions across the organization.
• Assess BCM capabilities of critical suppliers and work on alternative sourcing strategies.
• Coordinate communications during incidents with internal and external teams.
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as Dubai Civil Defense and Dubai Civil Aviation Authority for audits and regulatory reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, engineering, aviation or a related field.
• ISO 22301 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certification (mandatory).
• Preferred certifications: NCEMA 7000, CBCI (BCI) or CBCP (DRI International).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in business continuity, emergency preparedness or related roles within aviation, catering or logistics.
