Business Development Executive – EV & Mobility

About the role

The Business Development Executive will lead commercial growth for MIE Events’ electric‑vehicle and mobility portfolio across multiple international markets. Based in Dubai, you will drive sponsorship, exhibition and partnership sales while acquiring delegates for high‑profile events.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies for the global EV & Mobility portfolio.
• Generate exhibition, sponsorship, partnership and delegate sales in assigned regions.
• Identify, acquire and manage new exhibitors, sponsors and strategic partners.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and senior‑level contacts.
• Research emerging opportunities in EV, automotive, charging infrastructure, batteries and smart transportation.
• Conduct outbound prospecting via calls, emails, LinkedIn and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, sponsorship packages and partnership presentations.
• Negotiate contracts and close high‑value deals, managing the full sales cycle.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, content and event teams to ensure successful event delivery.
• Represent MIE Events at industry conferences, exhibitions and networking events.

Required profile

• 4–8+ years of B2B business development, sales or sponsorship experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Experience in EV, automotive, mobility, energy, technology or related sectors is highly preferred.
• Strong network of senior decision‑makers and ability to build long‑term relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
