Business Development Manager – Air & Ocean

About the role

The Business Development Manager – Air & Ocean will drive new revenue opportunities and expand our market presence within the freight‑forwarding sector. You will build strong client relationships, develop strategic partnerships, and support the company’s growth objectives across air and ocean logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Secure new accounts and manage existing portfolio to meet gross‑margin targets.
• Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Conduct client visits, provide market expertise, and distribute market intelligence.
• Identify and pursue high‑value prospects, follow up on sales leads, and prepare quotations.
• Lead RFI/RFQ processes, issue SOPs, and onboard new business.
• Collaborate with operations, sales, tender management, procurement, finance, and network agents.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM and ensure timely payment collection.
• Monitor customer creditworthiness and draft commercial contracts in coordination with legal.
• Analyze performance, set annual budgets, and create business action plans.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or freight‑forwarding.
• Proven ability to acquire new customers and grow existing accounts.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in market research and financial monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills for internal coordination and client interaction.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
