Business Development Manager – Corporate & MICE

About the role

The Business Development Manager – Corporate & MICE will lead the growth of corporate, MICE and group business for the InterContinental Fujairah Resort. You will work closely with sales, revenue, operations and finance teams to turn opportunities into revenue while delivering seamless guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute corporate, MICE and group sales strategies aligned with the hotel’s revenue targets.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate, MICE and group accounts, building strong relationships.
• Identify new business opportunities through market intelligence, networking, industry events and government contacts.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, handling inquiries from proposal to contract and operational hand‑over.
• Negotiate rates, proposals, RFPs and tenders in line with the hotel’s pricing strategy.
• Collaborate with revenue management, reservations, events, F&B and finance to ensure accurate client requirements and flawless delivery.
• Monitor account performance, market trends and KPIs, taking corrective actions to meet targets.
• Provide market and customer insights to support commercial planning and forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality, Business, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel sales or business development, preferably in a luxury resort.
• Proven track record in handling corporate, MICE and group accounts and achieving sales targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Good understanding of hotel sales, revenue, pricing and contracting processes.
• Analytical, organized and problem‑solving skills with a proactive, target‑driven attitude.
