About the role
The Stewarding Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing areas at Le Méridien Fujairah. This full‑time, onsite role ensures that all cleaning processes meet the hotel’s high standards of hygiene and efficiency while supporting the broader food‑and‑beverage team.
Key responsibilities
- Organize cleaning chemicals, supplies, and kitchen stock, ensuring proper rotation and storage.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of dish rooms, loading docks, ceilings, walls, and ventilation systems.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
- Support management with hiring, training, scheduling and coaching of stewarding staff.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a food‑and‑beverage or hotel stewarding environment.
- Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 25 lb and stand for extended periods.
Required skills
- Operation of commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Use of hand‑wash and pot‑scrubbing stations.
