Business Development Manager – Freight Sales

About the role

GAC Group, a global provider of shipping, logistics and marine services, is seeking a Business Development Manager – Freight Sales to join its Dubai office. The role focuses on driving commercial growth, managing client relationships and overseeing operational delivery for freight and shipping customers.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, develop and maintain contacts with principals and potential clients.
• Expand logistics and freight business across the GCC.
• Coordinate internal business opportunities among departments.
• Promote cooperation between departments to avoid business loss.
• Assist and promote GAC’s logistics, marine and freight services.
• Provide advice and recommendations to Business Managers and the Sales Team.
• Increase shipping business and monitor competitive markets.
• Facilitate meetings between the sales team and prospective clients.
• Manage staff and operational activities to meet targets, deadlines and KPIs.

Required profile

• Graduate or bachelor’s degree.
• Valid UAE driver’s license.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Minimum 15 years experience in sales/business development within marine, logistics or shipping, with at least 10 years in a managerial role.
• Strong networking abilities and deep knowledge of the GCC market.
• Familiarity with balanced scorecard methodology.
