Business Development Specialist – Chemical Distribution

About the role

A reputable chemical distributor in Dubai is seeking a Business Development Specialist to expand its portfolio and strengthen relationships with customers across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and sell the portfolio to potential customers.
• Maintain customer rapport and develop relationships with existing clients.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities to meet and exceed assigned targets.
• Prepare sales and development reports.
• Conduct market research to identify potential customers and market trends.
• Liaise with suppliers on technical and purchasing matters.
• Conduct monthly visits to clients and provide technical support, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably with chemicals used in the food industry.
• Strong network in the pharmaceutical market across UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain.
• Valid UAE driver’s licence.
• Excellent negotiation, forecasting and selling skills.
• Fluent verbal and written English; Arabic preferred.
