Call Center Operator

About the role

The American University in the Emirates is seeking a Call Center Operator to handle student inquiries, complaints and concerns. You will listen actively, empathise with challenges and deliver timely, solution‑focused assistance while upholding the university’s reputation for excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to inbound calls and messages, ensuring a positive interaction.
• Investigate, research and resolve issues using the university’s computer systems.
• Transfer calls to the appropriate department or staff member when necessary.
• Follow up on unresolved matters until they are fully resolved, keeping callers informed.
• Maintain accurate call logs, reports and records of all interactions.
• Identify recurring issues and provide insights to supervisors for process improvement.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to support call‑center operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited university.
• 1‑3 years of experience in customer service or a related field.
• Call‑center training or experience is preferred.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (both spoken and written).
• High degree of independence, responsibility and sound judgment.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Effective time‑management and multitasking abilities.

• Competitive salary ranging from AED 4,500 to AED 6,000 per month, based on experience.
