Cardiovascular Echo Technician

About the role

The Cardiovascular Echo Technician provides high‑quality cardiology diagnostic testing for adult, paediatric and neonatal patients at American Hospital Dubai. Working under the guidance of cardiology consultants and following international accreditation standards, the technician ensures accurate and safe echocardiography procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic and comprehensive cardiology diagnostic tests, including echocardiography, in accordance with hospital policies and international guidelines.
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver BLS, ACLS, or PALS support when required.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments before, during, and after each test, documenting findings in the electronic medical record.
• Communicate critical findings, contraindications, or complications promptly to the ordering physician or medical consultant.
• Maintain and operate cardiac monitoring devices, pulse oximeters, ECG machines, treadmill units, echocardiography equipment, Holter monitors, ambulatory blood pressure monitors, and external mobile monitoring systems.

Required profile

• Relevant certification or diploma in echocardiography or cardiovascular imaging.
• Ability to perform patient assessments and respond to emergencies.
• Strong knowledge of clinical policies, JCIA standards, and cardiology guidelines.
