Cargo Agent – Airport Cargo Operations

About the role

As a Cargo Agent at dnata Cargo you will ensure the smooth handling of export and import cargo at Dubai International Airport. You will work closely with loaders, equipment operators and government authorities to guarantee that all shipments are processed accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Follow airline‑specific policies, SOPs and SLAs for cargo handling.
• Guide and assist loaders and equipment operators during build‑up, breakdown, acceptance and delivery.
• Inspect documentation, count goods and validate cargo at every handling point.
• Enter cargo data manually or automatically into the airline’s cargo system.
• Coordinate with Customs, Municipality, Health and Police to facilitate cargo movement.
• Handle special cargo such as dangerous goods, live animals and valuable items in line with IATA manuals.
• Operate tow trucks, forklifts and other ground‑handling equipment to load and unload ULDs, aircraft and trucks.

Required profile

• High School Certificate or relevant diploma.
• 2‑4 years of experience in logistics or cargo handling.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.

Required skills

• IT and computer literacy for data entry in cargo systems.
• Tow truck operation.
• Forklift operation.
