Carpentry Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Carpentry Supervisor to lead all carpentry and formwork activities on major Oil & Gas EPC projects in the UAE. The role ensures safe, efficient and high‑quality execution of formwork, shuttering, concrete support structures and related works in line with project specifications and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications and method statements and plan daily/weekly carpentry activities to meet project milestones.
• Allocate manpower, tools and materials, forecast timber, plywood and formwork system requirements and ensure timely mobilisation.
• Supervise fabrication, erection, alignment, bracing and dismantling of formwork for foundations, pipe racks, buildings, tanks and other reinforced concrete structures.
• Verify dimensions, levels and plumb against approved drawings and ensure formwork stability before concrete pours.
• Conduct toolbox talks, monitor productivity, enforce HSE policies and manage incident reporting.
• Maintain records of inspections, material usage and support handover documentation and punch‑list closure.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of experience in carpentry, shuttering and formwork, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven background on Oil & Gas EPC, industrial or heavy civil construction projects.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience managing large carpentry teams and complex concrete construction activities.
