CCTV Operator

About the role

The school is seeking a vigilant and professional CCTV Operator to ensure the safety and security of students, staff and visitors. The role involves continuous monitoring of surveillance equipment, rapid response to incidents, and supporting emergency procedures within the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems continuously across the school premises.
• Identify, assess and report suspicious behaviour, security breaches or safety hazards.
• Respond to alarms and emergency alerts in line with school procedures.
• Coordinate with security personnel, facilities management and emergency services when required.
• Conduct regular system checks, report faults and ensure equipment is operational.
• Maintain heightened vigilance during events, arrivals, departures and examinations.
• Record and document all incidents accurately in the school’s reporting system.
• Retrieve authorised footage to support investigations, safeguarding, disciplinary matters or legal requirements.
